Tasmanian Valuers & Auctioneers Pty Ltd group formally Webster Valuers & Auctioneers was established in Tasmania in 1967 to offer a comprehensive range of plant and machinery valuation and disposal service to clients. The group is one of the oldest and one of the largest plant and machinery valuation and auction practices in Tasmania and employs staff located across Tasmania.
Tasmanian Valuers & Auctioneers Pty Ltd is a Member of the Auctioneers and Valuers Association of Australia, and one of the only plant and machinery valuation firms in Tasmania employing a Certified Valuer of the Auctioneers and Valuers Association of Australia (Plant and Machinery) and a Certified ASA (American Society of Appraisers) Senior Appraiser on its staff.

TVA can provide Onsite Auctions, Online Sales, and Expressions of Interest options dependent on your needs and circumstances. The choice of sale will depend on a number of factors including: client preference; business structure; personal circumstances; the quality and quantity of items; and location. We take all these factors into consideration when advising you on the most appropriate sale option.
Whatever your preference for the selling of your items you can depend upon the experience, depth of knowledge, qualifications and total commitment of TVA personnel to ensure you get the best possible net return.
TVA's online website enables a secure platform for the sale of items over a flexible/nominated timeframe. Vendors can view and track the online bidding activity. Funds are directly credited via securepay into TVA's NAB Online account. Vendors will receive an efficient remittance of the proceeds of the sale along with a detailed report of their sale item realisations, GST (if applicable), fees and net proceeds.
Notification about the Sale will be distributed through www.tva.net.au email transmission service and can be advertised through nominated newspaper services at a cost to the Vendor.
TRADITIONAL ONSITE AUCTION SALES
TVA onsite computer links provide rapid access to information and documentation. TVA's concern with security and the efficient remittance of the proceeds of sale is paramount.
Traditional auction services can be provided at TVA's Latrobe auction facility or alternatively onsite at your premises. The choice of location for an auction sale will depend on a number of factors including the quality and quantity of items, site security, site/premises layout, labour issues, business interruption concerns, freight and labour costs. These factors are taken into consideration when advising you on the most appropriate location for an auction sale.
TRADITIONAL AUCTION PROCESS
In organising an auction we can handle everything for you:- arrange collection of items, valuation of items, arrangement of lots into appropriate categories; preparation of catalogues; direct target publicity to potential buyers (through our extensive direct emailing lists and media advertising); the auction itself; supervision of goods collection and delivery days to buyer; collection and accounting for proceeds; calculation, collection and remittance of Goods and Services Tax (when applicable); remittance of net proceeds. These services can be negotiated at the time our client agrees to pursue this option.
Tasmanian Valuers & Auctioneers Pty Ltd has been at the forefront of the development of computer systems for auctions. All accounting processes within the auction function are computerised (from the catalogue to the remittance advice), providing vendors with instant access to running totals on auction day together with the relevant documentation.
TRADITIONAL SALES PROCEEDS
All proceeds realised at either an onsite or room auction are immediately banked into our Trust Account maintained with the Bendigo Bank. Funds are remitted to vendors net of costs and commission within ten working days following auction day. Funds are settled by way of Tasmanian Valuers & Auctioneers' Pty Ltd cheque or by direct deposit, whatever are our client chooses. A vendor also receives with their payment a computer generated detailed breakdown by lot of all goods sold.

One of Australia's leading professional valuation organisations. Membership is restricted to only those persons who meet annual accredited continuous professional development requirements. As a client of Tasmanian Valuers and Auctioneers you are protected by a strong code of ethics, designed and enforced by the AVAA and approved by the Trade Practices Commission, which provides disciplinary measures in the event of breaches by members.
Our Valuer has personal accreditation by the AVAA, this and our strict quality control procedures ensure the highest levels of professionalism and accuracy of reporting.

Our valuations are prepared as a sequential, detailed inventory of plant and equipment, divided into individual areas and sub totaled into Departments. Each line item in the valuation has alongside its attendant value depended upon basis of valuation. Where available both model and serial numbers are included allowing for more positive identification.
A valuation report comprises, a title page, letter of report setting out totals, matters effecting the valuation along with comments felt by the valuers to be of importance to you, the basis of valuation. A complete copy of the valuation can also be provided on computer disc when required.
To aide entities in the preparation of sale memorandums we can also provide complete valuations without figures for incorporation into sales packages.

One of the important roles in consideration of a Sale is to accurately identify and describe each item to be sold for potential purchasers, and to attribute an estimated market value to each item to enable the department to ascertain accurately how much money they can expect to realise out of the Sale. Tasmanian Valuers & Auctioneers Pty Ltd has a Valuer accredited by the ASA and AAVA.
We can supply a copy of our Workers Compensation Insurance Policy 'Certificate of Currency'. We further advise that similar certificate relating to public risk and professional indemnity insurance can be included.
